In the bustling city of Islamabad, where the pace of life mirrors the dynamic shifts in the business world, I embarked on a journey that would define my career and shape my future. The year was 2018, and with a fresh degree in Business Administration with a focus on Marketing from Bahria University Islamabad, I was eager to dive into the world of marketing. Little did I know that this path would lead me through diverse experiences, challenges, and triumphs that would mold me into the Full-Stack Marketer I am today.
My story begins at Ovatic Solutions, where I took on the role of Project Coordinator. This position was my first real taste of the professional world, a world where theory met practice in sometimes unexpected ways. My responsibilities were clear-cut—coordinate with the sales team, ensure timely project deliveries, and assist in B2B sales. But what wasn’t on paper was the steep learning curve that came with it.
In this role, I learned the importance of seamless coordination and communication. Each project was a lesson in managing expectations, not just of clients, but of colleagues as well. Every successful project delivery wasn’t just a tick on a checklist; it was a small victory, a step forward in understanding the complexities of the marketing landscape. These experiences solidified my interest in marketing and sales, pushing me to delve deeper into the field.
With a growing appetite for more challenging roles, I transitioned to GS Technologies as an IT & Marketing Officer in early 2021. This role was a significant leap, bringing with it a host of new responsibilities and opportunities. Here, I was not just coordinating; I was creating. I developed branding kits, designed content strategies, and managed social media campaigns for in-house products like MAAHIR, EZAGENT, and Khizar.
This period was transformative. It was where I began to truly understand the power of digital marketing and the pivotal role it plays in shaping brand narratives. Crafting advertising campaigns, identifying different buyer personas, and driving app installs were not just tasks—they were critical components of a larger strategy aimed at positioning our products in a highly competitive market. It was in this role that I began to hone my skills in media buying and content creation, laying the groundwork for my future endeavors.
The next chapter of my story unfolded at Innovation Drives, where I took on the mantle of Digital Marketing Manager. This role was a proving ground, a test of all the skills I had acquired so far. Innovation Drives had an impressive client roster, including automotive giants like Kia Metropolis, Suzuki Islamabad, and Changan Islamabad. The stakes were high, and so were the expectations.
Here, I managed cross-channel marketing campaigns, coordinated brand events, and developed content strategies that not only met but exceeded client goals. One of the highlights was organizing the launch event for the Suzuki Swift, a campaign that significantly boosted media exposure and brand awareness. Managing a monthly paid media budget of 1 million PKR for Kia Metropolis was another challenge that I relished. It was a role that demanded precision, creativity, and strategic thinking—all skills that I was eager to demonstrate.
In January 2023, I took a significant step forward in my career by joining Ronak as the Head of Marketing. This role was not just a promotion; it was a culmination of all the experiences and lessons I had gathered over the years. Leading a team of 11 marketing professionals, I found myself in a position of both responsibility and influence.
At Ronak, my focus has been on aligning our marketing efforts with the company’s broader goals. I’ve built and trained a team that is not only skilled but also passionate about what they do. Together, we’ve developed digital strategies that have driven substantial customer acquisition and business growth. Each campaign we launch is backed by data and driven by results, ensuring that our efforts translate into measurable success for our clients.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working on some truly remarkable projects. At Suzuki Islamabad, I led seven BTL campaigns that not only enhanced brand visibility but also deepened customer engagement. For Changan Islamabad, I spearheaded lead generation campaigns and organized the launch event for the Oshan X7 at Centaurus—a project that tested my abilities to manage large-scale events and deliver results under pressure.
Another highlight was my work with OY Nutrition, where I focused on content creation for OY gyms. Through targeted Facebook media buying, we managed to increase female gym subscriptions by an astonishing 400%. These projects weren’t just about executing marketing strategies; they were about understanding the unique needs of each client and delivering solutions that exceeded their expectations.
While the results of these campaigns are visible and quantifiable, the skills that drive them are what truly define my work. Marketing analytics, project management, and graphic design are just a few of the tools in my arsenal. But more than that, it’s my ability to see the bigger picture, to align marketing strategies with business goals, that sets me apart.
Every campaign is a puzzle, and my job is to put the pieces together in a way that creates a complete and compelling picture. Whether it’s developing a content strategy or managing a media budget, I approach each task with a combination of creativity and analytical thinking. It’s this balance that allows me to deliver marketing solutions that are not only innovative but also effective.
As I continue to grow in my career, I remain committed to the principles that have guided me so far—hard work, continuous learning, and a passion for excellence. The journey from a fresh graduate to a Full-Stack Marketer leading a team has been filled with challenges and rewards, each one contributing to the professional I am today.
